What’s New in REST Professional Version 14

REST Professional Version 14 delivers even greater functionality to help you automate mundane manual tasks, build your business, grow profits, and deliver the best service experience to your customers. Version 14 includes the following new features:

Export Data

Export Data is an enhancement to the existing bulk mail merge functionality in REST, enabling you to export selected fields to Excel. The new Export Data feature will allow you to:

• Export Tenants, Owners, Creditors, Properties, Holiday Bookings, Sales, Solicitors, Diary or Contact information to an ASCII tab delimited text file able to be used in other word-processing or spreadsheet applications
• Export Tenants, Owners, Creditors, Properties, Holiday Bookings, Sales, Solicitors, Diary or Contact information to an Excel spreadsheet
• Create templates with selected merge fields to customise the export of Tenant, Owner, Creditor, Property,
• Holiday Booking, Diary or Contact information to an Excel spreadsheet
• Select from a list of previously saved templates to export selected merge fields to an Excel spreadsheet

RockendSMS Enhanced Integration

RockendSMS Online allows single and bulk SMS messages to be sent via an online service for REST customers who use RockendSMS with Edgility. RockendSMS Online provides a range of advanced features to assist in optimising SMS communication with your database. Replicate a Property

The Replicate Property feature can be useful to set up multiple properties in the same building or street. Access the Help File from REST Professional for more information on replicating a rental property.

Energy Efficiency Rating (EER) on Rental and Sale properties

A new field is available to record the Energy Efficiency Rating on properties. The EER rating is included in the details uploaded to advertising portals through REST Professional.

Other Changes

• REST Professional has passed certification for Microsoft Office 2016
• To allow for legislation requirements in Tasmania, a change has been made to the wording of the Bank Reconciliation report.
• The New Property Vacancy Counter Report has been enhanced to display up to two Open Home entries.
• Databases licensed for Holiday Bookings can now accommodate unlimited booking records.
• With the introduction of the new Export Data feature, the existing bulk mail merge functionality has been modified to include merges to Microsoft Word, Email, ADL Forms and REI Forms only. The functionality to export data to File and Excel have been moved to the new Export Data feature.
